Bookshelf
People often ask me if I have an overall list of books I think are worth reading. I don’t, and end up feeling a bit guilty about it. However, I like to give books as a gift to friends. May that be old friends or new friends. I try to make assumptions about their interests or challenges within the next year and pick a book which fits. In my mind there is no better way to learn about certain topics.
Below is a regulary updated list of physical books I own. Maybe this is interesting to some of you. I have marked the books I gave as a gift too.
How do I read? I’ll usually buy couple of books on a certain topic and start with reading the outlines. This way I can find common themes and ideas. Reading only one book from front to back never made much sense to me. Skimming through multiple books at the same time is as much useful as reading slow, effective and with high focus. Hence, I’ve only read 50-70% of the books here.
